Three Easy (& Low Calorie) Cocktail Recipes

Looking to spice up your weekend? Well I got just the thing. Below are 3 easy (& low calorie) cocktail recipes for you to try! Also, such a fun way to spend the evening (or afternoon – we don’t judge) with friends. Put your mixology skills to the test :)

Jalapeño Margarita

Ingredients:

2 oz silver tequila kosher salt, ice, 3 tbsp. freshly squeezed lime juice, 1 tbsp. freshly squeezed orange juice, 11 1/2 tsp. light agave nectar, 1/4 – 1/2 jalapeño pepper

Instructions:

  1. Salt the rim of the glass by rubbing a lime wedge around the edge and dipping into a small plate of salt. Then fill the glass with ice.
  2. Fill cocktail shaker with additional ice. Add tequila, lime juice, orange juice, agave and jalapeño slices. Tightly close & shake.
  3. Strain into the glass. Garnish with lime wedges and jalapeño slices.

Fresh Mint Martini

Ingredients: 3 oz of gin or vodka, ice, 1 tbsp. lime juice, 1 tsp. sugar, 1-2 slices of cucumber, 4-5 mint leaves

Instructions:

  1. Place cucumber, mint leaves, lime juice and sugar into shaker & crush with muddler or spoon.
  2. Then add gin or vodka & fill shaker with ice. Tightly close and shake.
  3. Strain through a sieve into a martini glass. Garnish with cucumber slices & mint leaves.

Paloma

Ingredients: 2 oz tequila, coarse sea salt, ice, 2 oz fresh grapefruit juice, 1/2 ounce lime juice, 1/4 once agave nectar or simple syrup 2 oz sparkling water

Ingredients:

  1. Salt the rim of the glass by rubbing a grapefruit wedge around the edge and dipping into a small plate of salt.
  2. Mix the tequila, grapefruit juice, sparkling water, lime juice and agave nectar into the glass. Fill the remainder of the glass with ice. Adjust sweeteners to taste.
  3. Garnish with grapefruit or lime wedge.
