I have lived on Long Island my whole life, but to be honest I have only recently started to discover all the amazing places “the end” has to offer. Long Island has always been known as the place New Yorkers go to escape craziness of the city on the weekends. So here are some of the places you have to check out:
The Surf Lodge One of the hottest spots in Montauk. You are going to see the preppy city guys all the way to the surfer dudes. The interior of the space is amazing with its bright colors and beachy vibes. While having brunch here is amazing (p.s. book reservations), it does not beat the nightlife. Every weekend during the summer there is a line literally out the door because of the live bands / DJ’s that perform there. It is the place you want to be.
Gurney’s MontaukThis hotel is iconic. Not only is this hotel gorgeous but the restaurant, Scarpetta, inside is even better! Many people come to lounge on the famous yellow & white pin striped beach chairs. Oh and the best time to come? 4th of July Weekend. Warning: You will have to book almost 3-5 months in advance if you want a room for that weekend. If you do get a room though it is so worth it. 4th of July weekend is the weekend that literally anyone who is anyone from Manhattan comes to hang.
The Sloppy Tuna This is more laid back setting but certainly a great place to grab a drink. This two floor bar located right on the beach is a good place to pre-game. On certain weekends the place can get pretty packed so be sure to swing by to see what the crowd is like!
Navy BeachLocated literally right on the beach this is great place to dine and hang. I recommend coming here to watch the sunset as the views are fantastic! The crowd is great and the food is amazing. Definitely a popular spot to go to with friends.
Wolffer Estate VineyardYou can’t make a trip out east and not go wine tasting. This vineyard has live music, a vibrant crowd, and amazing views. The vibes here are laid back and enjoyable. What more can you ask for? This is the vineyard you go to out east.
Sunset Beach This is a great little place to go hang out for a few drinks and just relax. Definitely a more laid back vibe but still a lot of fun; I recommend the rosé! Plus, if you stay long enough you will get an amazing view of the sunset (it’s in the name after all)!
South Hampton Social If you are looking for amazing parties and events in the Hamptons this is the place you want to be. They are constantly throwing events so be sure to check out their calendar! The music is great, the crowd is great, and the drinks are even better.
The Lobster Roll Restaurant One of my favorite places to grab lunch in Amagansett. This place is known for their famous Lobster Rolls but they have amazing seafood in general. It is a super casual setting with great comfort food. There is usually a bit of a wait but it totally is worth it.
Duryea’s Lobster Deck My absolute favorite Lobster restaurant in Montauk. Fresh seafood with an incredible waterfront view. The decor is amazing and the food is even better-an absolute must.
The Crow’s Nest Literally located at the end of the world one of the most amazing restaurants. With its amazing sunset views & beautiful decor you will feel all of those summer vibes.
Deep Hollow Ranch I am absolutely obsessed with horseback riding and what better place to ride horses than along the beach? I love going with close friends or for a fun occasion. It is really is so much fun and suggest you check it out!
