It’s time for the weekend & you deserve some time to relax. However, for some people, learning how to just chill can be a struggle. Especially if you’re an entrepreneur running your own business. Well whatever your situation may be at some point you do have to rest – its not only healthy but necessary! With that, here are some of my favorite ways to unwind:
Taking a hot bath – There is nothing in the world like take a hot bath with your favorite bath bombs (we love THESE), lightning some candles & playing your favorite chill playlist. Creating a little oasis in the comfort of your own home is a great way to decompress.
Going for a drive – When was the last time you just went for a drive? With no destination in mind. I personally find driving to my favorite playlist extremely therapeutic. It also is a way for me to get out of the house even when I don’t have anywhere to go.
Snuggling up to a good book – I am a huge movie person but I must admit there is nothing in the world like grabbing my coziest blanket, hot tea & just reading a good book. Getting lost in the pages is great way not only to relax but to take your mind to a different place (besides work).
Painting – The older we get we tend to be less artistic & playful. One way to relax is by getting creative. Buy a canvas, some paint and paintbrushes and just express yourself! Don’t forget to pair all of that with nice glass of red wine :)
Journaling – We constantly are have internal conversations with ourselves every day. Another way to just relax is to put your thoughts to paper. There is something about seeing your thoughts on paper that can help put things into perspective & can at many times bring peace. It’s also nice to look back and see where your mind was at in the past.
